Hans Stamer: "Everything Happens to Me"
"Stamer remains true to his love of blues and jazz, but this album is a little different. Most of the 13 tracks haven't been covered to death and so emerge as new and fresh in Stamer's mellowed voice. There is the feeling that Stamer stored all these songs away, waiting for the right time (and a sympathetic assembly of musicians) to make this record. It's all pre-rock and there isn't an original on it, but the combination of jump blues and jazz ballads fit together nicely."
