"Kuddelmuddel" one of the 10 best Garage "Top of the Week" CDs.

The Province picked "Kuddelmuddel" as one of the 10 best Garage "Top of the Week" CDs.
"Blues with a contemporary approach. Two veterans try loops rather than going back to the delta for inspiration. The result is no less authentic or foreign, which is a testament to the experience of Andreas Schuld and Hans Stamer, as much as their open minds."

Kuddelmuddel picked as CD of the Week

The new Schuld & Stamer CD “Kuddelmuddel” was picked as CD of the Week by the Vancouver daily “The Province”.

“Who says you can’t teach old dogs new tricks? Andreas Schuld is a veteran session jack of all trades while Hans Staymer is a retired escapee of the bar circuit. Together, as Schuld and Stamer (the “y” has been dropped from the name) the two have come up with Kuddel Muddel, a modern approach to antiquated blues. Fearlessly, they’ve used loops, samples and other current technology on hoary old tunes such as Midnight Special, Spoonful or Rock Island Line. The result isn’t radically different from the familiar, but there is a freshness that invigorates Midnight Special, to use one obvious example, and is inspiring.”
